HARDENING AGAINST HIGH POWER MICROWAVE CUAS

Automated defense system firing at incoming drones.

WHAT ARE HPM Weapons?

HMPs (High Power Microwave Emitting Weapons) use high energy microwave pulses to defeat drones by:

  • Fusing Internal Electronics: Delivering microsecond voltage surges that instantly melt silicon microprocessors and circuit board traces.

  • Blinding Communications & GPS: Overwhelming radio receivers to sever ground control links and satellite navigation locks.

  • Destabilising Flight Sensors: Injecting electromagnetic noise directly into MEMS gyroscopes, triggering violent over-corrections and mid-air crashes.

  • Shorting Power & Propulsion: Tripping motor controllers (ESCs) and inducing power bus short circuits to cut rotor thrust instantly.

WHY ARE THEY A THREAT?

While they are only a few active HPMs in service, they are increasingly becoming a primary method of CUAS for adversary forces, and pose a recognised threat to blue UAS forces.

End-Users are increasingly expecting demanding HPM Resistance, Proofing, or Hardening for any reasonable procurement.

HOW CAN I PROTECT MY SYSTEMS?

Whether unmanned systems or munitions, protection against high powered microwave weapons is now a non-negotiable.

Vetted Items will adapt your system design to be hardened against high power microwave weapons, giving it full HPMH® certification.

We offer:

- No cost initial system analysis for HPMH®  certification

-No cost system redesign for HPMH®  certification*

*Subject to eligibility. Contact now to confirm eligibility for cost-free HPMH ®  certification*
